 PokemonGo for Business

Target engages with PokemonGo players. In a recent post Target shows a Pokemon in the middle of their store. This shows support of players and that Target is interested in engaging with communities.
Target is getting in on the trend of PokemonGo. They received 303 retweets and 928 likes from this post. This post is meant to be fun. It does not have anything to do with merchandise or selling, but it keeps followers entertained. Sometimes a lighthearted tweet can go further than a pure marketing message.

Other companies have been getting in on the Pokemon trend as well, inviting trainers to visit their stores and restaurants using Pokemon related promotions and discounts. As seen below, in an original imgur post linked to Reddit, a local bar supports PokemonGo and encourages trainers to visit their establishment. This is a great use of a recent trend to increase business volume, and posts from attendees and business owners start conversations among social network followers. The tone of the Reddit conversation below can be simply described as excited.

Businesses have been successfully using PokemonGo to increase their awareness and spark conversation among followers. These posts can only be described as a win.
