It's Miller Time

One of my favorite marketing campaigns that has been going on for a long time is the It's Miller Time. They updated it since it began to get users to participate as social media. They have run ads with Miller Time since the mid 90s, but with social media they have invited people to post their own videos on YouTube and Twitter using the hashtag, #itsmillertime. This allows customers to show how they spend their "Miller Time". This campaign is highly successful because not only do they interact with customers, but they have invited the customers to share their own post. One of my favorites is where a man trains his dog to get beer out of the fridge for him (Link Below). By inviting customers to participate they get an idea of the demographic that is drinking their beer, and who they need to market towards. This video has 257,670 views on YouTube. That’s over a quarter of a million free views that they did nothing but ask for people to post for. That is a ton of free advertisement. And this video is not the only one. This campaign has been successful for years and will continue to be.
